PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a home network system that simplifies the control of facilities and equipment and in which a flexible operation and sure communication are conducted, even when plural central controllers are connected to a network. SOLUTION: An energy management central controller 1, a security central controller 2, a monitoring central controller 3, and terminals such as air- conditioner 4, a lighting fixture 5, a ventilating fan 6, and a human sensing sensor 7 are connected to a communication path where an electric lamp line is used for a communication medium. Identifiers (a), (b), (c) are provided respectively to the energy management central controller 1, the security central controller 2, and the monitoring central controller 3 and identifiers (d), (e), (f), (g) are respectively provided to the air-conditioner 4, the lighting fixture 5, the ventilating fan 6, and the human sensing sensor 7. Each central controller has an identifier table for designating a communication destination and each terminal does not have identifier table.
