PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a stable focus searching operation and high density disk recording/reproducing, which has strong earthquake resistance. SOLUTION: This optical information recording/reproducing device is provided with an FE signal arithmetic operation section 3 for generating a focus error detecting signal for an optical disk, a signal processing circuit section 4 for performing A/D conversion or the like for the total light quantity of a condensing spot and a focus error signal, a signal control unit 6 for generating a virtual focus error signal, and a correcting circuit section 5 for overlapping the optional signal value of the virtual focus error signal and that of the focus error signal, calculating a difference among other signal values, and adding the calculated difference signal to the focus error signal to generate a focus error correcting signal.
