PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a spot light source device stably over a long time by effectively cooling a light guide slot. SOLUTION: In this spot light source device, a fresh air inlet 55 is provided at a fiber slot 50 in which a fiber 5 for guiding light to the outside is mounted, and thereby the fiber slot 50 is directly cooled by fresh air passing through the fresh air inlet 55 and the fiber 5 is also cooled. Thus, the spot light source device reducing the rate of deterioration of the above members is achieved. Light cannot pass through the fresh air inlet 55 and a light blocking member is installed outside it to prevent the leaking of light from the fresh air inlet 55. The light blocking member serves also as a heat-radiating fin, further enhancing cooling efficiency. |
