PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a splice box which is simple in structure and facilitates wiring operation and can be reduced in manufacturing cost by decreasing the number of components. SOLUTION: The splice box 1 consists of a box main body 5 which has tapered parts 4 formed by connecting a couple of opposite side plates 3 to both the flanks of a nearly quadrangular back plate 2 where equipment can be fitted and bending them inward at depth-side nearly intermediate part and a door body 8 formed by connecting side plates 7 where a couple of opposite optical fiber cables can be led in and out to both the flanks of a front plate 6 covering the front opening part of the box main body 5; when the box main body 5 is closed with the door body 8 from the front side, the inside of the box main body 5 can be closed with the back plate 2 and side plates 3 of the box main body 5 and the front plate 6 and side plates 7 of the door body 8. Then box main body hinges 9 are provided nearby the join part between the back plate 2 and side plate 7 of the box main body 5 and door body hinges 10 are provided on the side of the door body 8 facing the box main body hinges 9 while the box main body 5 is closed with the door body 6; and the box body main body hinges 9 and door body hinges 10 are connected with a hinge pin 11 so that the door body 8 can freely be opened and closed. |
