PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure content without requiring any pretreatment such as dilution by dividing a suspended solution into a fine particle and a solution and measuring the amount of the solution. SOLUTION: When a solution containing a fine particle is allowed to flow into the groove of an insulator 10 by a liquid-feeding pump 13 and a DC voltage is applied between electrodes A3 and B4, the fine particle is attracted by a negative electrode. An electric energy at this time is measured. The value is proportional to the amount of fine particle being attracted. Then, after verifying that the fine particle has been fully attracted, a solution in the groove of the insulator 10 is pushed into a glass cell 14 by the liquid-feeding pump 13 and the amount of liquid is measured. For measurement, while monitoring is being made by a light source 12 and a light reception cell 15, the liquid-feeding pump 13 is pushed out and the amount of fed liquid of the pump 13 is measured. After the measurement, solution in the glass cell 14 is returned to the groove of the insulator 10 by the pump 13 and an AC electricity is applied between electrodes 3 and 4, thus dispersing the fine particle being attracted by the negative electrode into the solution again. |
