PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable display device for optimally driving a horizontal output transistor even when a horizontal deflection frequency changes and reducing the loss in the horizontal output transistor. SOLUTION: A horizontal deflection circuit for impressing the pulse signals of a horizontal cycle generated at the secondary coil of a horizontal drive transformer 5 to the base of the horizontal output transistor 8 and making a switching operation is provided with a horizontal deflection frequency detection circuit 7 for outputting a voltage corresponding to the horizontal deflection frequency and a base current control circuit 6 for inputting an output voltage from the horizontal deflection frequency detection circuit 7 and controlling the forward base current of the horizontal output transistor to reduce when the output voltage changes in a high direction (that is, the horizontal deflection frequency changes in the high direction). |
