PURPOSE: Disclosed is a high-frequency identification device with a passive electronic data storage medium in which the communication output is significantly improved. CONSTITUTION: The identification device comprises a processor, an electronic control unit and a memory, as well as a receiving aerial (15) for receiving operating energy and for the non-contact transmission of HF signals (20) to an assigned write/read station (WR) having a transmission aerial (24). The carrier frequency (fr) designated by the transmission aerial is above 1 MHz so as to allow for high communication output. An external capacitor (Ce) is connected in parallel to the receiving aerial (15), whereby the capacity of the external capacitor (Ce) is greater, preferably several times greater, than the capacity of the internal capacitor (Ci) of the data support medium (MI). This allows for significantly improved communication output, especially with small identification means.
