CAMERA HAVING A LENS BODY TUBE DRIVED BY A MOTOR

PURPOSE: A camera is provided to move forward and backward a lens body tube of a photographing lens rotating a motor in one direction. CONSTITUTION: The camera comprises a movable lens body tube(7), which is stowed in a camera body during no operation and is protruded from the camera body to a near range focusing position or a far range focusing position as a driving ring is rotated in one direction. The movable body tube(7) is returned to a stowed position by rotating the driving ring additionally in the same direction by a cam mechanism which connects the driving ring and the movable body tube. In order to rotate the driving ring, a rotary power of a motor(70) in a first direction is transferred to the driving ring through a clutch mechanism. The clutch mechanism is switched according to a rotation direction of the motor(70), and transfers the rotation power of the motor in a second direction to another mechanism. A controller(86) refers to a detect signal from a body tube position detector(89), and controls a motor driving in response to an inputted signal through a hand-operated member.
