Production of mixed coagulants for water clarification - comprising addition of a water-soluble cationic polymer derived from one or more vinyl monomer to an inorganic coagulant

A process for producing mixed coagulants for water clarification. At least 0.1-10 wt.% of one water-soluble cationic polymer derived from one or more vinyl monomers is added to a solution of inorganic coagulant, maintained at a temperature in the range of 25-80[deg]C. The solution is stirred for at least 15 minutes at a temperature higher than room temperature where the mixture is cooled and filtered. Also claimed is a method for water clarification comprising upon completion of the preoxidation stage a mixed coagulant of the invention is dosed.
