<p>A modified polyaspartic acid having a defined branched structure in the main chain thereof is provided. An anhydro polyaspartic acid is modified by a novel method of modification using a mercapto amine precursor, mercapto amine, or a salt of mercapto amine, using a mercapto amine precursor, mercapto amine, or a salt of mercapto amine and aspartic acid or a salt of aspartic acid as a modifying agent, and using no reaction solvent.</p> |
