Composition is made from solutions of anionic dyestuffs in homogeneous mixtures containing acetic acid and an aliphatic hydrocarbon or aliphatic halogenated hydrocarbon derivative, or a mixture of both. Specifically it may contain an alcohol or a phenol. It may involve the formation of an acetate from the alcohol and acetic acid. Fibres may be dyed by a known immersion process, Fullers Earth treatment or pulverisation at 10-50 degrees C. |
