A rotary joint adapted to seal the portion thereof which is between an inner circumferential region (3a) and an outer circumferential region (3b) by a relative rotational slide contacting action between a fixed seal ring (30) secured to an end portion (21) of a second joint member (2) coaxially with the axis of rotation thereof and a movable seal ring (31) retained movably in the axial direction on an end portion (11) of a first joint member (1) in a coaxially opposed state with respect to the fixed seal ring (30). A main fluid passage (6) comprises a first main fluid passage portion (60) extending through the inner circumferential region (3a) of the two seal rings (30, 31) and the first joint member (1) and opened in the inner circumferential region (3a), and a second main fluid passage portion (61) extending through the second joint member (2) and opened in the inner circumferential region (3a).
