PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball coupling capable of enhancing a durability of an article using the ball coupling such as a scroll type compressor during operation and a scroll type compressor using it. SOLUTION: A ball coupling is provided with a circular ring-like first race portion 1 having a thrust ball-transferring surface at one surface, a circular ring-like second race portion 2 having a ball-transferring surface opposed to one surface of the first race portion 1 at one surface 12; a thrust ball interposed between the first and second race portions 1, 2. In at least one of the first and second race portions 1, 2, a center portion of the other surface 13 opposed to the one surface 12 having a groove 14 of a cross section of a concave shape. |
