PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized compressor without decreasing output. SOLUTION: This compressor has a housing 2 and a compressor unit 1 for sucking and compressing coolant which is arranged in the housing 2. The compressor, especially for an air conditioner of an automobile is constituted so that the housing 2 is made of extremely rigid material for reducing assembled size with ensuring sufficient compressing output, and able to use gas already having high density in a suction condition as the coolant.
