PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a continuous work from continuous casting to finish rolling and to contrive the continuation of the casting and rolling which is excellent in productivity and energy saving. SOLUTION: In this equipment continuing the casting and rolling, a continuous casting device 1 for casting slabs of <=100 mm in thickness, coiling device 2a for coiling these slabs, heat-retaining furnace 10 for storing coils, device 2b for recoiling the coils, joining device 3 for joining materials to be rolled, rolling mills 4 for continuously rolling the joined materials to be rolled, cutting device 5 for cutting the materials to be rolled and coiler 6 for coiling the materials to be rolled are continuously installed. As for this equipment, it is desirable to provide plural lines of the continuous casting device 1 and slab coiling device 2a and to provide roughing mills 9 between the continuous casting devices 1 and the coiling devices 2a. And the heat-retaining furnace for storing the slabs may be provided instead of the heat-retaining furnace for storing the coils. In the case of this equipment, it is permitted that plural lines of the continuous casting devices are provided and the roughing mills are provided on the outlet side of the heat-retaining furnace.
