Portable apparatus for carrying out electrolytic operations comprises a case 1 with lid 3, and divided internally into two separate zones; the first including means for connection to a mains electrical supply, and means for controlling and adjusting the electric current and feeding it to rods 18, 19 overhanging the second zone which contains a removable basin 16 for holding an electrolytic bath, workpieces and counter-electrodes in operation being suspended from the rods. An electrical resistor may provide heating for the bath and the first zone may include a current transformer/rectifier and a filter network, and is provided with a control panel 9. The apparatus may be used for electrolytic degreasing, and for the deposition of copper, nickel, silver, gold or rhodium.</p> |
