PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate a cage and a spring and to reduce the number of parts and assembling man-hour by using connecting pieces as a plate spring made of metallic thin plates. SOLUTION: Between an outer race 1 and an inner race 2, a plurality of sprags 3 connected with each other by U-shaped connecting pieces 13 are arranged. Each of the sprags 3 is held in a state of the sprags 3 energized to rotate counterclockwise by elastic force of the connecting pieces 13. When the sprags 3 are held on the side of the outer race 1 when the inner race 2 is rotated counterclockwise in a fixed state of the outer race 1, the inner race 2 slides on cam surfaces 3b of the sprags 3 and freely rotates as shown by an arrow on the side of the inner race 2. Conversely, when the inner race 2 is rotated clockwise in a fixed state of the outer race 1, the inner race 2 is locked after the sprags 3 are slightly rolled counterclockwise, pressing the cam surfaces 3b by friction, and rotation of the inner race 2 is transmitted to the outer race 1 via the sprags 3. |
