PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for molding a lens blank by which simplification of a process from preparation of the lens blank to its molding processing can be advantageously attempted and inexpensive mass production of contact lenses is made possible. SOLUTION: A base part 32 which can be chucked on a lathe for cutting a base curved face and a front curved face to a lens blank formed in a molding cavity 46 on either the top mold 4 or the bottom mold 2 for providing a molding cavity 46 with a substantially closed structure under a condition where the mold is closed and a circular projected part 40 or a circular recessed part on which screw threads 42 as a holding means for holding such the lens blank as this is formed on either the outer peripheral face or the inner peripheral face, are provided and it is constituted in such a way that the lens blank can be held on one mold 2 under a condition where it is screwed on the screw threads 42. |
