PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a constructing time and prevent an error on the necessary number of connecting members by previously fitting the connecting members for connecting underground buried pipes to the connecting parts of handhole, a manhole, or the like. SOLUTION: A handhole H is formed out of a box body 1 provided with a bottom part 1A and side wall parts 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, and connecting members 2. This connecting member 2 is made of a synthetic resin, hard rubber, or the like, and a plurality of projecting parts 3 are fitted to the outer face on one side in the axial direction at fixed intervals in the circumferential direction. Further, a helical groove to which the projecting part of an underground buried pipe can be fitted is formed on the inner face on the other side in the axial direction. Hence, during manufacture of the connecting part H or after manufacture, after respectively inserting the connecting members 2 into through holes 1b, 1d formed in the connecting part H, adhesive is filled between the holes 1b or 1d and the outer faces of the members 2, and the members are penetratingly fixed to the connecting part H. Hereby, buried pipes can be immediately connected to the connecting members, and the constructing work can be performed reasonably and quickly.
