PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a residue from dropping down from a residue discharge opening outside an adjustment tank even when a residue removing container is removed in order to discard the residue which is discharged into the container. SOLUTION: A garbage treatment tank 1 for decomposing garbage, an adjustment tank 2 into which a residue is discharged from the treatment tank 1, a residue discharge opening 3 from which the residue retained in the adjustment tank 2, and a residue removing container 4 arranged freely removably outside the adjustment tank 2 for receiving the residue discharged from the discharge opening 3 are provided. The upper surface of the opening lower fringe part of the opening 3 is made an inclined surface 3a which is lowered toward the inside of the adjustment tank 2.
