PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a pig to smoothly travel in a method of lining the inside of a pipe in which the inside of a pipe is lined by causing a pig (first pig) consisting of an elastic foamed body having open cells to travel in the pipe by barometric pressure. SOLUTION: In this method of lining the inside of a pipe to coat the inside of the pipe, after paint is injected into a pipe from one end of the pipe, a gas is fed therein, thereby lining the inside of the pipe, and after that, a first pig consisting of an elastic foamed body having a diameter larger than the inside diameter of the pipe and having open cells is inserted from the pipe end part, and next, a second pig consisting of an elastic foamed body having a diameter larger than the inside diameter of the pipe and smaller that of the first pig and having independent air bubbles is inserted, and then, these pigs are pushed by pressure of the gas, thereby causing them to smoothly travel in the pipe.
