PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a durable combined decorative body by combining a smoke chromium plating part and a coating film part formed on a substrate made of a synthetic resin. SOLUTION: A masking is applied to the smoke chromium plating part of a substrate 5. To the coating film part, to which this masking is not applied, a paint having resistance to a plating treatment containing roughening the substrate 5 is applied to form a resist coating film 11. To the smoke chromium plating part, trivalent chromium plating 10 is applied after it is roughened by an etching agent to form a conductive thin film. To this trivalent chromium plating part, masking is applied leaving a clearance from a parting part from the resist coating film 11 to the inside. To a clearance and the resist coating film 11 to which the masking is not applied, paint of desired color having adhesive power to the trivalent chromium plating 10 is applied to form a finish coating film 12.
