PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a spherical slag having an arbitrary particle size from sewage sludge incinerated ash. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a spherical slag comprises the steps of rotating a rotary kiln 3 containing a granular material made of a sewage sludge incinerated ash granulated to a predetermined size and powder or particles having a diameter one-tenths of that of the material or less and higher melting point than that of the granular material in mixture, holding a temperature of the kiln at a higher temperature than the melting point of the granulated material to less than the melting point of the powder or the particles, and melting the granular material.
