<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact intake manifold for a V type multicylinder internal combustion engine which can obtain high volmetric efficiency and output torque within a wide range and is easily attached. SOLUTION: Bilateral banks 4l, 4r have ignition timings for alternative explosions with equal intervals. A completely symmetiric intake manifild 3 is composed of an integral assembly of an intake manifold upper 20 and an intake manifold drawer 30. The intake manifold upper 20 is prepared by crossing and integrating throttle bases 42l, 42r, and a first intake passage communicated with an intake port of each cylinder. The intake manifold drawer 30 has first chambers 31l, 31r. Second chambers 40l, 40r are formed on a mating surface of the throttle base and the intake manifold upper. The first and second chambers are always communicated with each other through a communication passage. Second intake passages 32l are integrally formed on first chambers 31e, 31v for communicating the chambers with the intake port of each cylinder so as to cross each other around a circumferences of the chambers.</p> |
