PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container positioning device which corresponds to a case of having dispersion in the external shape such as PET bottle without reducing the positioning accuracy by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A shape of an opening part of a bottom regulating body 19 is set to approximately coincide with the minimum dimension in the external shape tolerance, the bottom regulating body 19 is so constituted as to be raised/ lowered freely and energized upward, and in the process of sinking the bottom support member 20 with the lowering of the container 30, when the container is formed lager than the opening part, an R-face 31 formed in the bottom of the container 30 is engaged with the top edge 32 of the opening part of the bottom regulating body 19 so as to position the container 30.
