PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide system having a traveling vehicle guided on a rail, unifying position accuracy and line guide free to a considerable extent. SOLUTION: A guide system with a traveling vehicle guided on a rail 1 has guide faces 2.1, 2.2 arranged on the sides for guide rollers of the traveling vehicle. In the rail 1, a rack 4 is so constituted that a pitch line 6 of a tooth part 5 of the rack 4 is extended always through a center vertical line 7 of cross section of the rail 1, if possible. Each traveling vehicle has two chassis, for instance. The chassis is so constituted that an oscillating axis is extended through a force application point of the pitch line 6, if possible. Guide elements form a three-point guide part.
