PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent thin wood boards from buckling by pressing in the vertical direction and also prevent the thin wood boards from being stretched in the width direction by pressing to the right and the left by pressing plural superposed thin wood boards vertically and at the same time, pressing the boards to the right and the left and further compressing the thin wood boards to the right and the left. SOLUTION: In a compression working chamber 3, a press platen 5 is arranged from above and is installed on the tip of a piston 8 of plural hydraulic cylinders supported on a pillar. Further the press platen 5 is guided by the right/left side walls 3A, 3A of the compression working chamber 3. In addition, press platens 10, 10 are arranged on the upper both sides of a base part 4 in the compression working chamber 3, and are installed on the tip of the piston 12 of plural hydraulic cylinders 14 supported on both side walls 3A, 3A of the compression working chamber 3. The upper and the lower side wall 3A, 3A, 3B, 3B are reinforced with plural reinforcing beams 13, 14 respectively.
