PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soldering iron which enables to set a desired temperature in a short time without having a danger of setting failure. SOLUTION: The plural temperatures at a soldering iron tip end are set at a temperature setting part 21, and are memorized in a set temperature memory part 22. In a case when a soldering operation is started, if an operation mode is inputted from an operation mode choosing part 23, a control part controls a temperature of the soldering iron 10 via the soldering iron tip end temperature controlling part 26a so as to make it the chosen temperature.
