PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption generated when power supply is unnecessary by switching over power supply from a commercial power supply and reduce erroneous operation due to noise in a rice cooker. SOLUTION: This rice cooker is provided with a connection means 2 changing over the presence or absence of power supply from a commercial power supply 1 and a control means 3 controlling the connection means 2. When an operation process of the equipment is a specific process, the control means 3 controls the connection means 2 to change over the presence or absence of power supply from the commercial power supply 1 so that power from the commercial power supply 1 is supplied only when it is necessary, and unnecessary power consumption and erroneous operation due to noise can be reduced.
