CARPET-BACKING MATERIAL COMPOSITION AND CARPET USING THE SAME, AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a carpet-backing material composition having a good lightening effect, esp. excellent in heat resistance, cold resistance, moldability and sound insulation and capable of being recycled, and to produce carpet backed with the same composition. SOLUTION: This carpet-backing material composition having >=65 deg.C Vicat softening temperature and <=-30 deg.C brittle temperature is produced by blending (A) 60-80 wt.% ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having 20-50 g/(10 min) melt flow rate and 0.910-0.930 g/cm3 density with (B) 40-20 wt.% ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having 2-20 g/(10 min) melt flow rate and 15-35 wt.% vinyl acetate content respectively based on the total weight of the composition. This carpet is produce by backing carpet with the same composition.
