PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a speed for processing data by effectively utilizing a memory space of a RAM built in a CPU in a printer. SOLUTION: An information-processing part 10 of a printer 1 has a CPU 20 in which a DRAM 22 is built in. To the DRAM 22 are allotted a program area 35 for copying a predetermined program module stored in a ROM 13 and a band buffer 36 for converting an intermediate codeϕ2 based on an input dataϕ1 sent from a host to a plot dataϕ3. Since the band buffer 36 of a high access frequency in a process of converting the input dataϕ1 to the plot dataϕ3 is allotted to the DRAM 22, a data process time can be shortened greatly. The use of the information-processing part 10 realizes a printer that can print in colors with a high resolution at high speed.
