PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a PTFE(polytetrafluoroetylene resin) covered tube with locally removed metal fabric and a catheter tube in which an inner peripheral surface lubricating tube layer, an intermediate reinforcement layer and an outer covering layer are made strongly adhere to one another, and the tip completely inhibits fallout property. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing this PTFE covered tube includes the steps of applying polytetrafluoroethylene resin dispersed coating material to a metallic wire, baking and sintering the same to form a PTFE covered tube 91, braiding 92 a metallic wire thereon, locally removing the metallic wire braided layer to form a local braided core material where the metallic wise braided layer present part and the metallic wire no-braided layer part are alternately repeated, and then covering the outer periphery thereof with an outer covering material 93. |
