PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide joint structure of a column and a beam of a building, easily obtaining high accuracy and facilitating jointing work. SOLUTION: Abutting pieces 17A-17C arranged previously protruding by the specified dimension from the end of a beam 13 onto the column 12 side are fixed to the beam 13, and the beam 13 and the column 12 are jointed in a state of these abutting pieces 17A-17C abutting to the side face of the column 12. These abutting pieces 17A-17C are plate metal. One abutting piece 17A is welded to the side face of the column 12 and the back face of a web 13A of the beam 13. The other abutting pieces 17B, 17C are respectively welded to the side face of the column 12 and the lower faces of upper and lower flanges 13B, 13C of the beam 13.
