PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for a sensor only for detecting the abnormality of a transfer means to reduce the cost of a system by effectively using a water level sensor essential for a water treatment system so as to detect the abnormality. SOLUTION: A water treatment system is provided with a storage tank 1O storing water to be treated, a transfer means comprising an air lift pipe 11 and a blower 12 and transferring the water to be treated in this storage tank 10 to a treating part in the next step, a water level detecting means comprising water level sensors 14-16 and detecting a water level of the storage tank 10, and a control means, a microcomputer, controlling the transfer means based on the water level detected by this water level detecting means and judging the abnormality of the transfer means based on a predicted value of the water level changed by the transfer means and a measured value of the water level measured by the water level detecting means.
