POWER SUPPLY DEVICE FOR WINDING HEAD OF THREAD WINDING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent improper thread winding at the time of power failure in a thread winding machine. SOLUTION: A winding head of a thread winding machine has a winding unit provided with a spindle drive device 3, a sensor 4 for rotation speed and/or rotary position of a spindle, and a thread traverse device 5 provided with a drive device. The spindle drive device 3 and the thread traverse device 5 are electrically and mutually synchronized. An uninterruptibla power supply unit 17 is provided which is automatically operated at the time of power failure and supplies a current to the sensor 4 on one hand and a current to the drive device for the thread traverse device 5 on the other hand to maintain the synchronization between the spindle drive device 3 and the thread traverse device.
