PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust muffler which can reduce thermal load applied to peripheral arrangement. SOLUTION: An exhaust muffler is divided into a muffler chamber and a heat radiation chamber (space) 14 by means of a bottom plate. A lining as a heat insulation member is arranged on a lower portion of the muffler chamber. An air vent 16 is formed for communication of air in the space 14 with the outside of the exhaust muffler. By arranging the heat insulation means and heat radiation means on the bottom of the exhaust muffler it is possible to prevent heat of high temperature gas to an arrangement base of the exhaust muffler and reduce thermal load applied to the base.
