PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preserving noble metal clay without drying and solidifying. SOLUTION: The below-mentioned four methods for this purpose are provided. (1) The noble metal clay is sealed and packed with a gas containing steam of the humidity of 60-100% and a film having <=30 g/m2.day water vapor permeability. (2) The noble metal clay is sealed and packed with 0.01-20 wt.% water and the film having <=30 g/m2.day water vapor permeability. (3) The noble metal clay is sealed and packed with a moisture absorbent (e.g. silica gel) after absorbing moisture up to a saturated state at the max. moisture absorbing temp. and the film having <=30 g/m2.day water vapor permeability. (4) The noble metal clay is sealed and packed with an absorbing body (e.g. Japanese paper, cloth, cotton and sponge), which is impregnated with water, and the film having <=30 g/m2.day water vapor permeability.
