SOLUTION: The objective protein or its salt contains the amino acid sequence of formula. It can be produced e.g. by homogenizing the tissue or cell of human or warm-blooded animal, extracting with an acid, etc., and separating and purifying the extract by a combination of chromatographic treatments such as reversed phase chromatography and ion-exchange chromatography. The protein is preferably administered for the treatment of obesity of an adult of 60 kg body weight at a daily dose of 0.1-100 mg for oral administration or 0.01-30 mg for injection. |
