摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new cell for production, etc., of soybean glycinin having action lowering a human serum cholesterol value, comprising a transgenic plant cell in which a gene encoding soybean glycinin protein is introduced. SOLUTION: This plant cell is a new transgenic plant cell in which a gene encoding soybean glycinin protein is introduced and is used for production of plants other than soybean, especially crops useful as foods, expressing soybean glycinin protein capable of lowering a human serum cholesterol value and effective for prevention and treatment of arteriosclerosis and coronary heart diseases. The transgenic plant cell is obtained by isolating a promoter region of gluten gene capable of expressing gene specifically to albumen of seed of rice, etc., connecting soybean glycinin gene to the downstream of the promoter to build a vector and introducing the vector into rice cultured cell.
