PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a termite preventing structure for a building capable of physically preventing the incursion of termite passing through the inside of a thermal insulating material used for a thermal insulating footing into a framework and a floor framing. SOLUTION: The termite prevention structure for a building A is so constituted that termites 4 pass through the inside of a thermal insulating material 3 adhered to the outside 2a and/or the inside 2b of a rising section 2 in a strip footing 1 constructed in the peripheral surface part of the building A to physically prevent the incursion of the termites in a framework B and a floor framing C. In that case, a thermal insulating material 6 is mounted to the outside 3a of the thermal insulating material 3 adhered to the outside 2a of the rising section 2 and/or the inside of the thermal insulating material 3 adhered to the inside 2b of the rising section 2 through a stainless steel mesh (sheet material) 5 constituted of a corrosion resistant material tolerance to the secretion of the termites 4.
