PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light cover capable of reducing labor required to open/ close the cover, having large flexural strength allowing no bending by the walk of persons, easily cut and mass-produced at a low cost. SOLUTION: The periphery of a foam resin bar 1 of 0.2-0.5 in specific gravity having square cross section is covered with a covering layer 2 with resin impregnated in glass roving and hardened, to form core material 3. A plurality of core material 3, 3 are arranged sideways and bonded to each other, and fiber reinforced resin plates 4a, 4b placed over the upper and lower sides are bonded to form a panel 10 forming a cover. A cover can also be formed of a panel formed by arranging foam resin bars and longitudinal synthetic resin rib members alternately sideways to bond them and placing the fiber reinforced resin plates 4a, 4b over the upper and lower sides to bond them, or a panel formed by arranging the foam resin bars 1 sideways with spaces, placing fiber reinforced plates with protruding ribs on one side, over the upper and lower sides to insert the protruding ribs in the mutual spaces of the foam resin bars, and bonding them.
