PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary the leveling width of an asphalt mixture by housing lateral screws into a case and providing a plurality of gate devices in the breadthwise direction of the case and also providing a plurality of independently openable gates in the gate devices. SOLUTION: Screw conveyors 20a, 20b are provided at a slant from the forward bottom to the rearward side. An opening in a hopper 5 is formed on the upper face of a casing of the conveyors 20a, 20b and also an opening is formed at the lower face of the rearward side of the casing. Lateral screws 25a, 25b are provided at the lower part of the opening of the underface of the casing. Further, a bottom gate opened/closed by the piston of a cylinder device 30 is provided at the lower part of the screw 25a, and a side gate 35 opened/closed by the piston of a cylinder device 33 of the rear side of the screw 25a is provided. In a constructing work, a plurality of the bottom gates and the side gates are appropriately opened or closed to lay beltlike or triangular pavements. In this way, the leveling width of asphalt mixture can be varied.
