PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silencer for a leaf spring, which can reduce creaking sound between leaves of a vehicle leaf spring, which has a convenient structure so as to be inexpensively manufactured and attached/detached, and which can be prevented from slipping down. SOLUTION: A silencer 1 has a plastic or rubber rectangular liner 2 having an inclined surface on its upper surface 2b, and locking plate members projecting from both sides of the liner 2 and bent so as to be held to a main leaf 4, resulting that their one end part 3a is arranged abutting against an eye part 5. When an external force P is applied, a force F is effected on an inclined surface of each of the silencers 1, and accordingly, the locking members 3 are made into press contact with the eye part 5 so that the motion thereof is restrained. As a result, the silencer is always interposed between leaves, thereby it is possible to reduce creaking noise.
