PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a path of a sufficiently large width on each stage floor by providing a chair reclining device with a seat and a back so as to increase the inclination of the back without allowing the back to substantially move toward the rear side. SOLUTION: This chair fixed to a specific stage floor 1 with a supporting leg 2 is provided with the seat 4 and the back 5, both of which are connected to a tilting link 6 used as an arm rest in common. The tilting link 6 is hinge- connected to both end parts of a fixing link 9 positioned on a lower side through two mutually parallel connecting links 7 and 8. Then, the respective connecting links 7 and 8 are swung forward to respectively shift the upper end of the a front-side connecting link 7 obliquely upward and the upper end of the rear- side connecting link 8 obliquely downward and to advance-shift the tilting link 6 as a whole. As the result, the inclination can be increased without allowing the back 5 to move out.
