PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pump for an internal combustion engine which has relatively many plungers, a relatively short whole length, and a relatively small mounting area around a cam rotation shaft. SOLUTION: This pump has a cam rotation shaft 1, a plurality of cams 2 arranged on the cam rotation shaft, relatively many plungers 3, and a pump chamber 5 provided for each plunger, and a high pressure fuel passage 10 extending from each pump chamber. Each cam actuates at least two plungers, and all of the plungers are positioned on one side of a plane Q extending through a central line of the cam rotation shaft. |
