<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional pocket tool consisting of a pair of pliers improved compared to a conventional tool for solving the problem of locking the pliers to a closed position. SOLUTION: A multifunctional pocket knife 1 is provided with two side face parts 10 and 11 useful as a handle for a tool, the plural tools arranged between the side face parts, the pliers provided with a first jaw 18 fixed integrally with the side face part and a second jaw 14 turnable to the first jaw around a side spindle 40 at the front end of the tool and a means 4 for locking the pliers to the closed position. The means for locking the pliers is provided with at least one locking element 4 arranged at the front end of the tool and the locking element is movable within a plane parallel to the side face parts 10 and 11 between the position of locking the pliers to the closed position and the position capable of opening the pliers.</p> |
