PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection pump for preventing damage of a movable member by prohibiting autorotation of a shoe to limit a range impressed by a driving force of a cam onto the movable member due to contact of the shoe with the movable member on a same contact surface. SOLUTION: A shoe 13 contacts with a plunger 14 and a piston 20 on a plane on the radially opposite side. The piston 20 has a plane-shaped contact surface 21a contacting with a contact surface 13b of the shoe 13, and a spring 24 energizes the piston 20 toward the contact surface 13b. Because fuel pressure in a fuel pressurizing chamber 54 decreases to suck the plunger 14 to the fuel pressurizing chamber 54 side, and autorotation of the shoe 13 is prohibited even when the plunger 14 is separated from the shoe 13, the outer peripheral surface of the shoe 13 except for a contact surface 13a is prevented from contacting with the plunger 14. A range impressed by a driving force of the cam 13 onto the plunger 14 is limited to prevent damage of the plunger 14. |
