PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure peroxidase activity which inhibiting hemoglobin interference by blending a metal chelate (or its precursor) with an indicator to be oxidized in the presence of a peroxide and a pyrazole derivative inhibiting the oxidative capability of hemoglobin. SOLUTION: When measuring the activity of a metal chelate in a fluid specimen by blending a metals chelate (or its precursor) with hydroperoxide and an indicator to be oxidized which is oxidized in the presence of a metal chelate and hydroperoxide and can develop color response showing the existence of a metal chelate, the method of this invention is to include a pyrazole derivative of the formula [X is CO2H, H or OH; Y is CH, CH2, C=O, CCH3, CH(CH2 CH2CH2CH3); Z is H, C6H5 or none] inhibiting the dye-oxidizing capability of hemoglobin without inhibiting the above oxidative capability of a metal chelate in a test system to measure the objective peroxidase activity. |
