PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the formation of recessed parts in molded goods. SOLUTION: This glass forming machine has a metal mold device 11 for setting a glass blank 12, a pressurizing device 50 for exerting pressing force on this glass blank 12 by pressing this metal mold device 11 and a controller 35. This controller 35 has a pressing force control means for making the pressing force small until the prescribed conditions are satisfied after the start of forming and making the pressing force large when the conditions are satisfied. In such a case, the pressing force during the time when the contact area of the glass blank 12 and the metal mold device 11 charges largely may be made small and, therefore, the formation of the recessed parts in the formed goods does not occur any more.
