PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling apparatus letting service water running from a faucet flow around the whole outside of a kettle so as to efficiently cool down a kettle containing boiled tea and the like by forming a groove provided with an opened upper face and formed into a C-shape in a plane vision and perforating multiple holes in the bottom part of the groove. SOLUTION: A kattle cooling apparatus body is formed into a groove provided with an opened upper face and formed into a C-shape in a plane vision. In this groove, multiple holes 3 are bored in the bottom part, a water receiving part 5 receiving service water running down from a faucet is arranged in the middle part, and a notch 4 is formed in the end part. The cooling apparatus constructed in this way is put on a kettle and fixed by hooking a chain 1 on a chain insertion rod 2 according to a size of the kettle, and consequently, the cooling apparatus is mounted on the kettle while prevented from falling down. Under this condition, the faucet is opened so that service water runs downward to the water receiving part 5 so as to flow into the groove, and then, the water is discharged from the holes 3 and the notch 4 so as to flow downward along the outer circumferential face of the kettle, so that the kettle can be cooled down as a whole, and tea and the like in the kettle can be cooled down quickly.
